with my article I had to find a image to use. I found this image of pogo but I have had to ask the people who uploaded the image to flikir VJzoo so I found there Myspace and sent them a message and hope that they will get back to me soon.

In todays lesson we handed in our draft article. we spent the lesson making and final touches to the artcle

11/3/10 project plan

in todays lesson we worked on our project action plan writing up everything we needed to do by the end of the project day by day. I know what had the be the finished out come but finding out all the stages was a hard task. Most of the work needed to be done is working on content for the newspaper and making sure everything is met to the deadline as the team leader I will have to put in team leader meeting to see were people in our groups are at and make sure everything that the quality control is happy with our progress.

10/3/10 production meeting

In todays lesson Matt attended and hayden and Dave were absent
we worked on our project proposal form after that we I researched my ideas of what you use in my article. we had a group dissociation of what to call the newspaper. we all wrote on a bit of posted note and wrote an idea for what to call it we the quality control then worked on which one would be best to use we decided on Media Me. I then worked on first ideas of the logo we could have for our newspaper.

8/3/10 morning section production meeting

this morning all of my team attended. We started off by having a team leader meeting with the quality control carrying on our discussion on what content we should put in the newspaper. We had a bit of confusion at the start with the lack of organizational. I then went to my group and got them to note down there new idea to then take back to the meeting. We then looked at what ideas we had and discussed which one we could use or which one needed some changes. while this was going on Hayden was making draft layouts for the newspaper, Dave was doing research for his article subject and Matt did the same.

5/3/10 production meeting

intodays lesson everyone attended in my group. Our task today was to try think if ideas that could go into the newspaper. I got everyone in my group to write up 1 idea on a A4 peice of paper with the tittle of there idea and a bref discription of what the idea is about. we then had a team leader meeting with the quality control team to try think which ideas we could use and what others we could think of. we all took in turns to tell the group what ideas our groups had throught of. Matt and Dave ideas were very similair, so we felt they could be joined togther. technicaly each group should have 4 people and those 4 people would each make 1 idea which with 3 group of 4 should take up 12 pages. but some of our ideas wouldn't fill at tabloid size newspaper page and unfortunatly not everyone was attending today so we had fewer ideas. so we desided to go back and look at the idea we had thought up of yesterday in our class discusion and try to see which one we could do and would fill up pages and which one wouldn't.

I thought this lesson was very productive even though we didn't fill up all 12 pages we had filled most of the pages up. but knew we still had room for any new idea people might think of over the weekend.

4/3/10 production meeting

out of my team in todays lesson my team Matt, Dave and Hayden were attending so all of my team was in for this production meeting.

We 1st had a task given to us by kirk to think of questions that we could ask other students from another college what they would want in this magazine. we were given a little bit of paper each to think of a question and I ask the question of would you want past papers in the magazine. we then gave all our questions back to krik who then put all the question in a box and shaked them about then came back to us and asked to pick three random bit of paper from the box. Then to take the 3 diffrent question and put them together to make one big question. fortunatly the 3 question we had were basiclly the same. the after looking at each I took all the key parts and made the final question asking. " would you want past exam questions or/and papers be or beneficual to you? And discatation of how to answer?

After this task was completed we then looked at other question that we had to answer the question were:
Do you know your audience?
Do you know what they want from study guides?
Do you know how they lern?
Do you know what the examiner wants?
Do you know what the client wants?
How can you ensore you 'Hit' the expectations of your auidence, your client and the examiner?

Hayden then started to draw a brain storm of all the question and out answers


after that we then started to think of idea to put in as content for the magazine so we were given bits of scrap paper to right on then we stuck them up on the bored.


We then picked one each and started to develop on them.

What happen in a magazine publisher?

In a In House Magazine production company. you have a table with the Editor at the top below him is his Deputy Editor who goes round making sure that the thing the Editor ask for is getting done. and the Art Editor who works on the layout and visuals of all the magazine. below that you have the Production Editor and Section Editors and below them you have Staff Writers. Production Editors do alot in the production team he makes sure everything is doing everything and keeping to schedual he also in charge of quality control making sure everything spelt corectly and nothing is chopped or to long. He also can tell what the editor what to do soemthing if the editor isn't doing enough.


So When I article is being made the idea goes from teh section editors who pitch the idea to the editor he gives it the go ahead if its a good idea then the staff writers write the article and then give it to the production editor who spell cheaks it and make sure everything in the article is sutible then he send it to the art editor who adds visusal and puts it the layout of the magazine its hten sent back to the production edtior to make another cheak to see if nothings is choped off or anything dosen't work well. It Then final sent to the editor for the fianl cheak then if any ajustments need making the production ediotr takes care of it but if its all ok its then sent to print in the magzine

2/3/10 team meeting

This is the first Red Team meeting.

present to this meeting was myself and Hayden
unfortunatly Dave and Matt H couldn't attend.

we 1st started the meeting with try to what could we put in hte newspaper/magazine so we started to braing storm idea of topic we could descuse in our paper. Hyden had also brought in copys of the magazine Super Super which is a big culture magazine and he showed me the kind of layouts we could use to make the paper more presentable to our age range.



We then had a Team leader meeting and descused what we had done in our groups. I had explained what we had done. Then philippa showed that her and her group had started to think of question to asks students what they would want in a magazine that they could use to revise for there A2 media exam. I thought this was a good idea and said I would get my group to think of some more questions. Sam group had not made much prosses as they were not 100% sure what happering but they made sure there blogs were all up to date in the mean time so we left the team leader meeting know what we had to ask our team mates to go and do at home form thursdays lesson. Me and Hayden after the meeting got in contact with our other team mates and let them know what they need to do.

While looking at topic to use in the magazine we looked at postmodernism and had idea of topic to use like postmodernism vs modernism also Hayden showed me a new underground trend using Bricolarge which is mash up videos done by Djs who take used footage and edits it to make some kind of song or sequence.

Team Leader meeting

we had the 1st team leader meeting to decide who was going to be in each group. I choose to have Hayden, Matt Hornby and Dave as I felt it would be a good creative team to think of visual content and maybe create comic or images to help the layout and get the message across easier.

Sam choose to have Ash Matt Leonaweiz and Tim as we felt that they are all hard workers and that if one is away then the other tow will be able to keep the momentom going with there work

Philippa chosse to have Alie and James as they both work hard aswell as there only have 3 people in there group. Also Philippa felt she was the right person to take charge of James as James has a strong presence and will speak his mind.
